do the interview, youre looking at at least 2 weeks usually before the start date. Then, during the interview mention that you have an offer from xyz. Itll light a fire under their ass and make you look more desirable
Definitely take the interview. You now have leverage for them to move you through quickly if they like you. Also if you get the second offer you have leverage for a higher salary or sign on if you can negotiate them to better the other. Good pgp to have…
Take the interview with the Fortune 500 and see if you get a job. An offer letter is about the least binding thing in the world, and unless your buddy stuck his neck out to get you the job who cares what the company thinks. Follow the money.
