Chipotle Is Ripping You Off On These 7 Ingredients

Big, bad corporate. They’re always trying to screw us little guys. It looks like everyone’s favorite food chain, Chipotle, cuts corners just like everyone else. Yes, they are good with giving us only the highest quality food and yes, it’s the most consistently good food available to the American consumer.

However, Chipotle employees are specifically told to skimp on seven essential ingredients, aptly called “the critical seven.” These ingredients are:

-Steak
-Carnitas
-Barbacoa
-Chicken
-Cheese
-Sour cream
-Precious guacamole

If you ask for extra any of these, Chipotle employees are told to charge you extra on your burrito.

Whatever. Fair enough, I suppose. This is in response to the rising food costs around the world. Prices on beef are skyrocketing and Chipotle claims that it costs them an extra dollar to make a steak or barbacoa burrito as opposed to chicken or carnitas. Chipotle has even considered raising prices on their beef products if prices continue to rise into the summer due to droughts around the world. I’ll never understand this market.

Chipotle’s loyal customers still aren’t downgrading their protein choices and are still willing to pay full price, even after recent price hikes.

So, just a heads up to those of you who are planning on hitting the beautiful maroon burrito hut soon, be careful when you’re ordering extra stuff. Your wink and nod towards your burrito maker might not be cutting it anymore.

‘Extras Aren’t Extra’ at Q’doba…load that thing up with queso, guac, peppers, etc.

I don’t even want to read this. Just let me believe that Chipotle is the only pure thing left in the world of corporate sell-outs.

Moe’s is way better. You don’t have to pay for chips there. Most of you people on PGP wonder why you’re broke yet you’ll fork over $16 on a mediocre chipotle meal. Whatever makes you feel alive I guess…..

Maybe you won’t get so many down votes when you post this on next week’s Chipotle article. I appreciate your resilience though.

I’m going to preface this by saying I’m a fan of pretty much any fast casual burrito place, be it Chipotle or Qdoba - so I was excited to try Moe’s for the first time a few weeks ago.. It tasted like what I’d imagine my stool tastes like post-barbacoa bowl with all the fixin’s
